Sports on the playground

On theplayground at the Île Cariot campground, while the little ones enjoy a tree house, a spring game, a slide, a swing or a trampoline, the younger ones can have fun and let off steam on the playground. volleyball (which was also transformed into a court of badminton), in the Home Ball®, or around a table of ping-pong. On Sunday afternoons in high season, the petanque court is requisitioned for the traditional tournament during which campers compete in a friendly and convivial manner. The tennis court, 100 meters from the campsite, is accessible free of charge to vacationers (please reserve a time slot at the reception). For all these sports activities, we lend you the equipment, no need to overload your vehicle!

Sports activities in the area

Hiking trails (3 of which start from the campsite) and cycling trails (cycling path at 3 km) are listed on maps and in guides that walkers and cyclists can borrow, buy or consult at the reception.
As for thrill seekers or water sports enthusiasts, within a 40 km radius of the Ile Cariot campground you will have access to golf courses, go-karting circuits, parachute jumps, balloon trips, kitesurfing, etc.

Sports activities around water

Swimmers will be able to count their laps while avoiding the peak hours at the pool The pool is very popular. This one is open from June 15 to September 15, and it is heated!

A few steps away from the pool, from the pier, you will discover the canals of the dried marsh by taking a canoe. Who knows, while paddling, you might be lucky enough to come across a grey heron? The canoes, vests and paddles are provided free of charge by the campsite l’île Cariot.

Fishing enthusiasts fishing will be spoiled for choice, between the maze of canals of the Marais Poitevin, the private ponds around, the Sèvre niortaise, or even the coast…
